Prospect Wire Treasure Coast Classic Teams & Players to Watch

65 teams will head to Fort Pierce, FL this weekend for the Treasure Coast Classic. The event starts on Friday evening and runs thru Sunday. Expect some tough competition and great talent on the field on Florida's East Coast.

We have a 3 Prospect Wire All Americans making their PW return this weekend such as:

Alex Mendoza 2026 (PSL Paulies 18u): Mendoza left the Prospect Wire All American Weekend with a ton of buzz as he impressed all weekend long. Mendoza earned MVP for the 2026 All American group & clearly cemented himself as one of the best players in the 2026 class.

Ashton Hovda 2026 (Knights Knation FL): Hovda is a talented IF/OF prospect that can do it all. He's a very baseball savy player that with added physicality is going to be a high level prospect.

Felix Jimenez 2026 (PSL Paulies 18u): Jimenez was one of the standout players from our Prospect Wire All American Weekend at Vanderbilt University. Jimenez was the HR Derby Runner Up & just oozes projectability.

We have a ton of players who have made a name for themselves at other Prospect Wire events this year such as:

Jayden Taveras 2027 (Power Baseball 16u): Taveras had a great showing at the CF Showdown showed some pop on this double.

Jacob Buff 2026 (Freshwater Storm Upperclass 18u National): Buff who impressed at a number of Prospect Wire events this summer compiling 12 Innings Pitched over 3 outings allowing no Runs with 12 K's.

Dominic Mathe 2026 (Southern Squeeze Perry/Penning 2026): Mathe had a great PW Summer Classic with the Southern Squeeze picking up 4 hits on the event with 4 RBI including this RBI Double.

Bryson Williams 2026 (Freshwater Storm Upperclass 18u American): Williams impressed our staff at two separate events totaling 9 Innings while only allowing 1 earned run with 10 K's.

Colin Ryan 2026 (South Florida Giants 2026): Ryan was an outstanding 4 for 8 at the PW Father's Day Classic this Summer. He will look to continue that success this weekend.

Vince Barry 2026 (Knights Knation Florida): Barry has made huge strides on the mound over the last 12 months with added velocity (up to 85 in his last PW event) and improved feel for his slider on the mound. Look for Barry to impress on the mound Friday for his Knights squad.

Brandon Bell 2027 (Freshwater Storm Underclass 16u American): Bell had a great summer at PW events with 5 hits at the plate & picking up 2 wins on the mound compiling 12 IP allowing only 3 Runs. Bell also impressed at the Freshwater Storm PW Scout Day just a few weeks ago!

Kelvin Perez 2025 (PSL Paulies): Perez was one of the best bats in the 17/18u Division at the CF Showdown. In a weather shortened event, Perez was 3 for 4 with two Doubles and 2 RBI as his team faced some stiff competition in their two games.

Braeden Henderson 2027 (Freshwater Storm Underclass 16u American): Henderson showcased impressive catch & throw ability behind the plate in two PW Events as he threw out 4 would be baserunners. He also got the job done at the plate reaching base safely 15 times over 28 Plate Appearances. Henderson was also impressive at the Freshwater Storm PW Scout Day as he found barrels all day!

Sebastian Rivera 2025 (JSizzles/Figs Baseball 18u): Rivera has an electric arm that consistently reaches the upper 80s. He topped out at 88 in two events & then 87 in the PW World Series as he went 5IP with 6 K's.

Aiden Buster 2025 (FL Elite 18U Marucci): Buster doesn't have overpowering stuff, but showcases tremendous pitchability. He went 6IP with 10K's and 0 runs allowed in his last PW outing.

Ryker Hall (2028 Freshwater Storm Underclass 16u National): Hall showed very well both defensively & with the bat. Hall really handles his pitching staff with great poise & demeanor.

Sebastian Dimitroff 2026 (Chief Baseball):  Dimitroff is an intriguing 2-way prospect that has gotten the job done at the plate & on the mound for his team in past PW events. Dimitroff was 8 for 20 over his two events this summer at the plate & struck out 16 hitters in 7.2 innings on the mound.

Aliet Garcia 2027 (FL United Scout Team): Garcia is another interesting 2-way prospect as he's been up to 85mph on the mound and is 9 for 20 at the plate with 2 doubles and triple so far this year at PW events.

Dylan Montrowl 2027 (Florida Sluggers 2027): Montrowl is a power RHP that's been up to 85. He needs to refine a few things mechanically, but the tools and build are there to become a high level prospect.

Deangelo Davila 2027 (FL United Scout Team): Davila was impressive at the plate earlier this fall when we saw him collect 2 doubles and a triple in his last PW event.  The young LHH showcases tools that could develop over time.

Tommy Morrissey 2029 (Arise 14u): Morrissey was one of our staff's favorite players to watch at the Central Florida Kickoff. Morrissey's long, athletic build & motor was on display all weekend. Morrissey picked up 3 clutch hits for his team and drove in 3 runs during a number of close games. He also got the job on the Mound for his team going 4.2 IP with only 1 run allowed.

Bradley Gilbert 2029 (Kangaroo Court Roos American Royal): Gilbert has made a habit of scoring runs at PW events this year as he's scored 13 times over 2 events. He's also been an incredibly tough out for opposing pitchers going 12 for 17 with a double and HR.

Wallace Padilla 2030 (Kangaroo Court Roos American Royal): Padilla is a young impressive bat for the Roos. He helped carry his team through the Central Florida Kickoff picking up 5 hits including this triple.

We also have an impressive list of talented teams & programs playing this weekend. See our staff's top teams to watch below!
