Prospect Wire SWFL Showdown Event Preview

Prospect Wire is excited to venture to the West Coast of Florida for the NextGen SWFL Showdown in Port Charlotte, FL. We are excited about the talented group of teams that we have in this inaugural event.

We will have a number of players coming this weekend who made a splash at previous Prospect Wire events and we are excited to see them back with us again! Take a look at some of those who are returning this weekend:

Knox Myers (2029, USA Prime Tampa 14U Scout-Bautista): The Prospect Wire All American Watchlist candidate is one of the top players in the 2029 class as he showcases a number of plus tools. On the mound he can run it up to 89mph and showcases some raw power at the plate.

Sawyer Goodwin (2029, Eagle Eyez): Talented pitcher with impressive arm strength for his age running his fastball up to 80mph last July.

Red Pope (2028, Eagle Eyez): Pope put together a nice showing at the 2024 Prospect Wire Memorial Day Showcase as he demonstrated above average metrics in a number of categories.

Brayden White (2030, Pasco Stingers): White impressed our staff last October at the Central Florida Showdown Showcase. Brayden has a history of success in the last 4 Prospect Wire events he's played in and he will look to continue that into this weekend.

Nate Garcia (2030, Pasco Stingers): Garcia also impressed at the Central Florida Showdown Showcase and since then has been on an absolute tear through his last 4 Prospect Wire events picking up 15 hits in his last 33 at bats.

Kike Venegas (2029, USA Prime Tampa-Bautista): Venegas is a talented bat in the heart of the Prime order. He's collected a number of clutch hits in his last few Prospect Wire tournaments.

Noah Kirchner (2029, West Coast Wolfpack): Kirchner picked up two clutch RBI hits last year at the Prospect Wire National Championships and will look to do the same for the West Coast Wolfpack this weekend.

Noah Carter (2030, Charlotte Thunder): Talented young SS/RHP with baseball genetics. Noah's older brother, Landon, was a dominate two way player last year in a number of Prospect Wire Events. We are excited to see Noah take the field this weekend.

Ryland Timmons (2029, Manatee Stars): Timmons is an impressive RHP/SS who shows promise both on the mound and up the middle defensively. Timmons is a plus athlete that can excel anywhere on the field and we are excited to see what he does this weekend.

Parker Kimball (2029, Manatee Stars): Kimball is an exciting young hitter with solid barrel awareness. Look for Kimball to be a force at the plate this weekend.
