Coach Greg Mulhollen and the Sarasota Sailors will look to bounce back from a difficult 2024 season. Coach Mulhollen will enter his 3rd season at the helm for the Sailors after coaching legend Clyde Metcalf stepped down after the 2022 season. However, this season the Sailors will see a Metcalf back in the home dugout again as Clyde's grandson, Mark, will join the team this season after moving in from Tallahassee.

Coach Mulhollen will lean on his pitching staff led by Cesar Garmendia (2026 RHP), Braedon Mackay (2027 3B/RHP), Blake Norman (2025 RHP), Hamlet Perez (2026 LHP), and Dylan Supple (2025 RHP, Lander). Garmendia led the Sailors staff last season with 33.2IP and a 1.04ERA. Norman, Supple, and Mackay all logged innings last year in relief so they'll lean on their previous varsity experience to have success in 2025.

The Sailors will be younger and inexperienced offensively however the talent is there to have a great season. Look for Sophomores Braedon Mackay and Johnny Lackaff (2027 UTIL) to build off their successful Freshman seasons with the bat as they finished 3rd and 4th respectively for the Sailors in most offensive categories last season. The addition of Mark Metcalf (2026 IF, UNF) should bolster the lineup for Coach Mulhollen's squad.
