Coach Daniel Caylor has built a reputation for his team being aggressive on the basepaths as his 2024 team swiped 143 bags on the year breaking a school record. Coach Caylor expects his team to break that number this year as they have spent the offseason trying to improve their team speed.
The Cowboys return 8 players from last year's team including stand out 2 way player Ty Murray. Murray is a talented uncommitted 2025 arm that leans on his 3/4 slot with an upper 80s FB that tops at 91mph. Last season Murray went 35IP with 45K's. The Cowboys will also lean on 3 other Seniors on the mound including Beau Collier (2025 SS/RHP), Walter Mckown (2025 RHP), and Carmelo Ramirez (2025 LHP). Offensively look for speedy Juniors Jackson White (2026 CF) and Lonnie Campos (2026 3B) to have big years as they both stole over 25 bases in the 2024 season.
Coach Caylor will lean on his experienced staff to carry the team in 2025 as he returns 4 players with over 30IP in 2024 such as Kaleb McLymont (2026 RHP), Murray, Collier, and Mckown. Offensively the Cowboys return most of their lineup from last season with White, Campos, Murray, Collier, and Williams leading the way, while they also hope Sophomore standout Rowan Leiba (2027 1B) can make a splash this season.
