Atlantic Coast Pre Season Outlook

Prospect Wire 2025 Florida High School Team Outlook:

Atlantic Coast

Coach Laufman brought some life back into the Atlantic Coast program in his first year as they claimed the Gateway Conference Championship and finished with an impressive 18-8 record. Expectations coming into Laufman's second season are high as the team is returning talent and has a grasp of his system. The Stingrays are hoping that in 2025 they can repeat as Gateway Conference Champions and contend with Creekside and Sandalwood for the 7A Region 1 District 1 title.

The Stingrays will lean on pitching to accomplish the goals they have set for themselves. Look for Dalton Tibbets (2025 RHP/3B, Polk State), Wade Surber (2025 LHP/1B), and Carson Bullard (2026 LHP/CF) to lead the pitching staff as all three arms work into the mid 80s. All three arms got limited work last season, but look to all take the next step in leading the pitching staff. Surber is the most experience pitcher returning this year with 19IP last season and 25Ks.

Look for the offense to be led by Noah Prudencio (2025 SS, FSCJ) and Wade Surber while they also look to get contributions from Caden Williams (2025 C). Surber and Prudencio were in the heart of the order last year for the Stingrays and look to continue the success they each had last year. Surber impressed last season putting up impressive numbers such as .316avg,  25H, and 24RBI. Prudencio also had great numbers last season with .344avg, 21H, and 27R.
