The event gives 17/18U players a chance to compete against quality opposition while getting an early look at how their teams stack up this fall. The Kino Sports Complex will serve as the backdrop for a weekend where pitching, timely hitting, and the ability to make plays in key moments could separate the contenders from the rest of the field. Cactus Cats (Tucson, AZ): The Cactus Cats will have some unfinished business when they return to the Tucson Fall Classic this weekend. After finishing as the runner-up in last year’s event, the Tucson-based program will return with two teams looking to take the next step and bring home a championship. With two team’s in this year’s field, the Cactus Cats will have plenty of opportunities to make an impact throughout the weekend. Tucson Prospects 18U (Tucson, AZ): The Tucson Prospects 18U will enter this year’s Tucson Fall Classic with a target on their back after taking home the championship last year. The Tucson Prospects are a recognized travel baseball organization on the West Coast circuit, known for their player development and ability to deliver in high-leverage games. Playing on their home turf, the Prospects will look to build on last year’s championship performance and prove they are still the team to beat in Tucson.
