2025 PW World Series: Tournament Preview

For the first time since the Father's Day Classic, Prospect Wire returns to Florida to kick off the 4th of July weekend back on the Treasure Coast for the 13th version of the PW World Series. The event is one of the highlights of the PW schedule and will be nothing short of exciting once again in 2025. The 2025 edition features 64 teams across age division 14u to 18u, with programs traveling from all over Florida and North Carolina. With top talent, elite matchups, and high-level exposure, the PW World Series is once again set to deliver an unforgettable week of competitive baseball. Here are a few teams and organizations to keep an eye on this week:


NLB Central Florida (Lakeland, FL): NLB Central Florida has built a statewide reputation as one of the top programs in Florida, known for its elite talent, sharp coaching, and championship mindset. Wherever they go, NLB brings a winning culture, and the results speak for themselves. The NLB Central FL program is part of PW's winningest program, Next Level Baseball (Tallahassee), who boast a PW record 21 titles overall! NLB Central FL is coming to the Treasure Coast with one thing in mind...defending their 18U Championship and bringing another PW World Series home to Lakeland. 


NLB North Carolina (North Carolina): NLB North Carolina is an elite travel baseball organization dedicated to developing high school players across the state and preparing them for the next level. Known for fielding highly talented, well coached teams, NLB NC has quickly established itself as a powerhouse on the travel ball circuit. This week, they’re making a strong showing at the PW World Series sending four teams to Port St. Lucie, two in the 17u/18u division, one in the 16u division, and one in the 15u division. With talent spread across all age levels, each squad is poised to make a deep playoff run and bring some serious hardware back to North Carolina. They are also a satellite member of Next Level Baseball in Tallahassee, FL. 


Empire Baseball (Odessa, FL): Empire Baseball is a well-respected name across Florida, known for its emphasis on skill development, mental toughness, and college recruitment. The organization has built a strong track record of preparing players for the next level, both physically and mentally. This week, Empire is bringing three teams to Prot St. Lucie, one in the 16u division and two in the 17u/18u division. All three are primed and ready to compete and will be ones to watch in what promises to be one of the most talented fields of the summer. Empire boasts 2 PW Championships to their credit. Will 2025 bring them #3?


USA Prime (Florida): USA Prime is a nationally recognized travel ball organization built on a foundation of fundamental skill development, strength and conditioning, leadership, and team culture. With a strong presence across Florida, USA Prime continues to make an impact at every level of competition. This week, the program is sending an impressive seven teams to the PW World Series, with squads competing in age groups ranging from 15u to 18u. Teams are traveling from St. Augustin, Jacksonville, Boca Raton, and Clermont, all looking to make a statement in Port St. Lucis. With depth, talent, and championship aspirations, each of the seven USA Prime teams is ready to compete and chase down a title in one of Prospect Wire’s most competitive events of the year. 


Freshwater Storm (New Smyrna Beach, FL): Freshwater Storm is a Florida based organization established in 2007, has built a strong reputation for its commitment to developing talent and helping players reach the college level. With a focus on fundamentals, expose, and long-term growth, the Storm continues to be one of the most respected programs in the state. This year, the Storm is making a major statement, sending 10 teams to Port St. Lucie, 3 in the 15u division and 16u division and 4 in the 18u division. Freshwater Storm is no stranger to PW World Series success. Winners of the 2024 16U & 15U divisions, the 2023 16U division and the 2022 18U division, the Storm have won 4 of their 6 PW Championships at this event.
