2025 Fall World Series Preview


Prospect Wire continues its fall campaign this weekend with the Fall World Series in beautiful Polk County, Florida. This event is always one of the biggest on the fall calendar, traditionally packed with nationally recognized organizations and elite-level talent – and this year is no different.

 

A total of 97 teams will be competing across the 13u – 18u divisions, with programs traveling in from all over Florida and Georgia. With such a deep field, the competition will be fierce, and several organizations stand out as strong contenders. Here are just a few to keep an eye on as they look to make a deep playoff run.

 

SBA Clubhouse (Spring Hill, FL): SBA Clubhouse has built a strong reputation for its elite coaching and consistent track record of preparing players to compete at the next level. This weekend they’ll be represented by two squads – one in the 13u division and one in the 14u division. Both teams come in well-prepared and motivated, and they’ll be looking to make some noise in the Fall World Series with a deep playoff run. Making the finals multiple times in 2025, SBA will be searching for their first PW Championship in 2025, and 3rd overall. 

 

CBU (Florida): CBU is a nationally recognized travel ball organization with a strong presence throughout Florida. This weekend, CBU will be well-represented at the Fall World Series with CBU Eustis competing in the 13u division, and CBU Gunsaulus, CBU North Nation Alpha, and CBU United Martin all taking the field in the 14u division. Each squad will look to build on CBU’s tradition of winning and carry that reputation into a deep playoff run. With 6 overall PW Championships, including 4 in 2025, is CBU be primed for another championship at this major event?

 

Legends (Lakeland, FL): The Legends are a well-known Florida travel ball organization and a Prospect Wire regular. They’ve built a reputation for fielding talented, gritty teams that are always in the mix to bring home hardware. This weekend, the Legends will be represented by five squads – two in the 15u division, one in the 16u division, and two in the 17/18u division. Each team will look to carry on the Legends’ tradition of success and add more hardware to the trophy case. Carrying 7 PW Championships overall, the Legends are in search of their 1st title in 2025.

 

Ostingers (Lithia, FL): The Ostingers are one of Florida’s most well-respected organizations, known for fielding well-coached, supremely talented teams. Whenever they step into an event, they’re a legitimate threat to win it all – and this weekend should be no different. The Ostingers will be represented by two squads, one in the 14u division and one in the 16u division, and both are teams to watch as strong contenders for a deep playoff run. They will be in search of their 1st PW Championship in 2025, to add to their previous 12, which is good enough for 4th all time in PW history!

 

Freshwater Storm (New Smyrna Beach, FL): The Freshwater Storm are a well-known organization on Florida’s east coast and have become a staple at Prospect Wire events. The Storm have built a reputation for fielding tough, gritty teams with strong fundamentals, always proving to be a difficult matchup. This weekend they’ll be represented by three squads – two in the 16u division and one in the 17/18u division – all looking to make noise and push for a championship. With a championship win this past summer at the Summer Classic, the Storm will be looking to add to their 7 previous PW titles.

 

Jax Indians (Jacksonville, FL): The Jax Indians are a well-respected organization known for their player development and for providing opportunities for athletes to compete at the next level. They consistently field teams with elite talent that play the game the right way, making them a perennial threat to win it all. This 16u squad looks poised to continue that proud legacy. A 7 time PW Champion, the Indians are in search of their 1st PW title in 2025!

 

NLB (Tallahassee, FL): NLB is a nationally recognized organization with a long rich history at Prospect Wire events, including being one of the winningest programs in Prospect Wire history. This weekend, NLB will be represented by two squads – one in the 16u division and one in the 17/18u division. Both teams are looking to make their mark and bring another championship back to Tallahassee. With a PW record 22 titles overall, NLB will be looking to add a 2nd title in 2025, matching their 15U National Championship back in July. 

 

Reds Florida (Sanford, FL): The Reds Florida have built a strong reputation for elite talent and exceptional player development. This weekend, they will be represented by one squad in the 17/18u division. This team is prepped and ready to make a deep run on Sunday, making them a squad to watch throughout the event. Continually playing intense, action packed games, the Reds are looking to become PW's first international champion! 

 

904 Cubs (St. Augustine, FL): The 904 Cubs are a well-known Florida organization recognized for fielding fundamentally sound, well-coached teams that are always a threat to take home the trophy. This 18u squad has already made a name for themselves this fall in Prospect Wire events, finishing second in the Fall Classic. They’ll look to build on that success this weekend and add a championship to their resume. Will this finally be the event the Cubs finish the climb and stand alone on top of that PW Championship hill?

 

Untouchables (Fort Myers, FL): The Untouchables are a newer travel ball organization with a strong focus on player development. This weekend, they will be represented by three squads – one in the 13u division, one in the 14u division, and one in the 16u division. All three teams are poised to make a deep playoff run and add some hardware to the trophy case.
