Ogden Open Players to Watch

This weekend kicks off the first ever Prospect Wire event in the state of Utah! We are excited to bring this event to Ogden and hope this will be the first of many.

The Ogden Open will have over 30 players committed to play at the next level!

Idaho Falls Players to Watch: Tommy Woodcock (2024 South Mountain), Cobie Klein (2024 Treasure Valley CC), Tarik Allen (2024 Blue Mountain), Greyson Martin (2024 Salt Lake CC). The Bandits will also run out Dax Whitney (2024-Oregon State Commit) who will be someone to keep an eye on all weekend. Whitney was the Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year as he collected 130 strikeouts on the season to only 11 walks. Whitney also had the bat working this spring as he hit .483 with 42 hits, 35 runs scored & 43 RBI. Whitney is also a name that could be called in the 2024 MLB Draft.

RA 2024 is full of committed players, however they have a number of players deserving of looks at the next level including: Logan Brinkerhoff - 3B/RHP, Jared Monn - RHP, Weston Willis - OF, Easton Seeley - RHP/INF, & Cody Densley - OF/RHP.

LBC's 16u team is loaded with talent as many of their players stared in Friday Night's showcase including Sam Smith (2026) who earned his invite to the PW All American Weekend becoming the first ever player from Utah to be invited to the prestigious event. Other talented players for LBC including Gage Farr (2026), Paxton Healey (2026), Tanner Neil (2025), Alex Razee (2026), & Cayman Sanchez (2026).

Utah Performance 2028 has a few guys to keep an eye out on such as Cohen Nelson, Tait Caldwell, & Brox Douglas look to lead their teams through the 14u bracket.

Thank you to the Coaches who sent us their players to watch recommendations! We are excited to see all these teams on the field of play & to hit the ground running on Day 1!
