Ogden Open Day 1 Recap

Day 1 in Ogden has come to an end and there was some phenomenal talent on the field here in Utah! Check out some of the standout players we had on Day 1:

Cayman Sanchez (2026) of LBC had himself a day after impressing at Friday Night's showcase Sanchez took his game to another level today. Sanchez was 6 for 7 on the day with 3 doubles & 2 triples earning himself an invite to the Prospect Wire All American Weekend!


Speaking of All Americans, Paxton Healy (2027) of LBC also earned himself an invite. The big 2027 grad hits in the middle of a stacked LBC lineup & can punish baseballs. Nearly leaving the yard 3 times today, Healy was 4 for 6 with 2 doubles. 


2024 MLB Draft prospect, and Oregon State Commit, Dax Whitney of the Idaho Falls Bandits got the job done at the plate this morning going 4 for 4 with 3 doubles & 4 RBI. Whitney showed why the Beavers are hoping he can make it to campus as he has the ability to be an impact bat & arm in Corvallis.


Zach Carlson (2024) of RA 2024 Black showed tremendous barrel awareness. The Northwestern University commit showed present strength & has the potential to develop into a bat to watch in the Big Ten.


Cohen Nelson (2028) of Utah Performance 2028 impressed both at the plate & in the field making a number of plays defensively to give his pitchers the confidence they needed to attack hitters.


Brody Hall (2027) of Lobos Baseball Club consistently drove runner in all day long going 3 for 4 with a double & 7 RBI.
