Memorial Weekend Classic Day 3 Recap

The third and final day of the Prospect Wire Memorial Weekend Classic displayed some great baseball as teams across all divisions competed on the diamond on a hot Championship Monday! When the games mattered the most, these teams & players came through in the clutch.

Jeremiah Guerra (2028) of the Orlando Bandits brought out his best for when he needed it most as the Orlando Bandits cruised through the 13U bracket early Monday Morning. Guerra got the job done on the mound with 5IP, 2 hits allowed, & 9K while also impressing at the plate as well.


David Hill (2028) of the ABA 14U Gold Squad impressed our staff so much on Championship Monday that he earned himself an invite to Prospect Wire All American Weekend. Hill got it done on the mound, at the plate, & in the field. Hill cruised through 3 innings on the mound striking out 6 only allowing 1 hit & walking nobody.



Edwardo Diaz (2024) of HR14-2025 got it done on the mound Monday. The Miami-Dade commit was 86-89 on the mound showing plus feel with his breaking ball which was 79-81. Diaz only allowed 1 run on the day while striking out 8.


Noah Campbell (2024) of NLB Central FL 18U brought the heat Monday morning. Campbell, Bishop State CC commit, was 88-91 & took home the top velo of the tournament as he got up to 93mph. Campbell showed tremendous pitchability while showcasing a tremendous 3 pitch mix. Slider is a plus pitch.



Luke Long (2026) of Ostingers Baseball 2026 Duran helped his team advance on Monday with his bat & on the mound. At the plate, Long went 3 for 6 with 4RBI. On the mound, Long went 6 IP earning the win for his squad only allowing 4 hits, 1 Run while striking out 6.



Samuel Castillo (2025) of HR14-2025 showed why he is headed to JUCO powerhouse, Chipola. He impressed our staff with his athletic build, simple approach & ability to get the head out front displaying plus pop. Castillo showed tremendous plate discipline as well drawing 3 walks on the day, but the big knock came with a pull side triple.



Sebastian Rolon (2026) of HR14-2025 impressed at the plate early Monday Morning as he displayed great feel for situational hitting during bracket play. Rolon went 2 for 5 with 2RBI earning MVP honors for the 17U Bracket.



Jeylem Sepulveda (2024) of the South Florida Bandits 18U squad got the job done at the plate & on the mound. The College of Central Florida commit was 87-90 topping 91mph. Sepulveda worked quick & filled up the zone with efficiency showcasing a legitimate 3 pitch mix. Sepulveda was also 4 for 5 on the day with 3 runs scored, 2 RBI & a double. On the mound he went 4.1IP earning the win while allowing 0 runs, 3 hits & only 1 walk as he went on to strike out 7.



Jose Paniaga (2024) of the South Florida Bandits impressed on the mound in the championship game earning the Most Valuable Pitcher award for the 18U bracket. The College of Central Florida Commit was 87-90 with his fastball while mixing in a 70-71mph curveball. He went 6.1IP earning the win as he only allowed 1 earned run while striking out 6.



Jomar Caceres (2026) of Diamond Level 16U earned MVP honors for the 16U bracket thanks to a clutch day at the plate during bracket play as he went 3 for 7 with a double, 2 walks & a HBP. Caceres was constantly on base for his team as they ended the day champions of the 16u bracket.
