Cardinal Gibbons

The Cardinal Gibbons High School Baseball team is coming off of a historic 25-4-2 season that saw the Chiefs hoisting the 4A State Championship trophy at JetBlue Park last season. Coach Hamilton's team ended the 2024 campaign with 14 straight wins to end the season including a 1 run win over Jensen Beach to win the District Championship, an 8-0 win over Mater Lakes Academy for the Regional Championship, and then capped off the season with 4-1 win over South Walton for the 4A state title.

Coach Hamilton will lead his 27th season with the Chiefs in 2025 as they will look to defend their state title armed with 7 position players and 3 of their top arms returning from the 2024 team. Look for Cardinal Gibbons to lean on their experienced Senior leaders such as Eddie Marshall (2025 C, Sanford), Mike Ragusa (2025 RHP, NC State), Jack Campbell (2025 P), and Brenden Trujillo (2025 P). Sophomores Randy Petron, Vic Norori, and Travis Hogan are all looking to lean on the vital experience they gained last year as freshman starters on a State Championship team. 

The offense will certainly lean on Marshall as it did last year who hit .378 with 5 HR and a total of 14XBHs. On the mound, the Chiefs lose UCF signee Michael Kass from their 2024 team but return plenty of experience on the mound to fill that void. The chiefs will rely on the steady performances of Senior Brenden Trujillo recorded 46IP last season with an impressive 1.52ERA and Senior Jack Campbell who recorded 30.2IP with a 1.83ERA. Flamethrower, Mike Ragusa, will also be a key contributor on the mound with his electric fastball that gets up to 95mph. Look for new contributors Jake Miller (2026 1B), Caden Hamilton (2027 LHP), AJ Wright (2027 RHP), and Daniel Silveria (2026 RHP) to play a role this year as well.
