All American Weekend Top Performers

2028 Grant Arnold (6'2 190 C/1B/RHP from Merritt Island, FL): Arnold impressed with every step he took at the PW All American Weekend. As one of the youngest players in the event Arnold had success at every turn. During the workout, Arnold impressed with a 1.91 Pop Time from his Catching position, while hitting 92mph from the Outfield, and picking up a Top Exit Velocity of 101.2mph. The 2028 MVP then went 2 for 3 on the weekend with 3RBI, Triple, 3BB & 3 Runs scored. On the mound, he went 2 Shutout Innings while picking up 2 Strikeouts. Arnold topped out at 88mph on the mound with a 2220 Spin Rate on his Fastball. To top it all off, Arnold won Saturday's HR Derby competition with a total of 14 Points scored in his final round.

2026 Alex Mendoza (5'11 170 SS/RHP from Baltimore, MD): Mendoza has an unassuming build that may not immediately catch your attention, but it doesn't take long to realize he is an absolute gamer. The 2026 MVP had a solid workout posting an Infield Velocity of 91mph & a Top Exit Velo of 97.8mph. However, the 2026 West Pitchers found out quickly that Mendoza is a force to be reckoned with at the plate & on the bases. Mendoza went 2 for 4 at the plate on the weekend with 2BB & stole 6 bases. The most impressive AB of the weekend came on Friday as he deposited a ball 104mph off the bat into the RCF seats at Hawkins Stadium. Alex would finish up his already impressive weekend by closing out Sunday's game on the mound with 2 Shutout Innings allowing no hits & 0 Runs. He topped at 87mph with a 2314 Spin Rate on his Fastball & paired that nicely with a sharp Slider that was 74-76mph with a 2487 Spin Rate. As an uncommitted 2026, Alex Mendoza is going to be a great pickup for any school looking for a versatile infielder with pop & plus speed on the bases.

2026 Wesley Anderson (6'3 215 RHP from Parrish, FL): Anderson came into the Prospect Wire All American Weekend with some of the most eye popping statistics in his previous Prospect Wire starts this year & he sure did back that up in Nashville. The 2026 MVPitcher got the start on Saturday for his 2026 East team. Anderson proceed to throw 3 Shutout Innings, racking up 6 Strikeouts & only allowing 1 hit. Anderson didn't come out with overpowering stuff, but he showcased incredible pitchability during his outing consistently fooling hitters with his sequencing. Lefties struggled with his late diving Changeup that was 71-74 with 1401-1592 Spin Rate. Righties struggled with the late, sharp breaking Slider. Both secondary pitches for Anderson were plus pitches & tunneled well off of his FB that was 83-85mph with 2165 Spin Rate. With a big frame already, Anderson has a very high ceiling as he continues to improve his mobility. He should be a solid pickup for school looking for high ceiling, high floor Starting Pitching.

2026ย Dillon Pratt (6'1 165 RHP from Fair Oaks, CA): Pratt caught the eyes of the Prospect Wire Scouting Staff with his electric Fastball & that pitch certainly made the trip to Nashville. Pratt got the start for 2026 West on Saturday leaning heavily on his Fastball which sat 87-89 with a low 2000s spin. Pratt oozes projectability with a rhythmic, violent delivery & a frame that should hold improved physicality over years to come. He showed a nice 12-6 Curveball with 2300 Spin Rate to keep hitters off balance. Look for Pratt to be an electric arm with stuff that can play at the front or backend of games. He will be a great addition to any staff.

2027 Aiden Echavarriaย (6'0 195 RHP/1B from Fullerton, CA): Echavarria had a good weekend as a position player, but really stood out as on the mound in his outing on Friday. The 2027 MVPitcher threw 2 Shutout Innings while allowing 0 Hits with 4 Strikeouts. Echavarria showcased a clean, fluid delivery sitting mid 80s in his outing topping out at 87mph. He leaned heavily on his fastball moving it effectively to all quadrants, but when he needed to Aiden would go to his Slider to put hitters away. At the plate, he added 2 Hits & came around to score 3 Runs on the weekend.

2028 Austin Anderson (6'2 185 LHP/1B from Clearwater, FL): Anderson showed real 2-Way Potential as he had a great weekend both on the mound & at the plate. Anderson led the tournament with 4 Hits at the plate scoring 3 Runs & driving in 1 RBI. The 2028 MVPitcher also got it done on the mound though with a really impressive start on Sunday. Anderson went 3 Shutout Innings with 3 Strikeouts. Anderson has the size & enough athleticism to continue to make huge strides over his high school career which should make him a strong follow.

2026 Owen Fogle (6'0 180 OF from Murfeesboro, TN): Fogle was a menace any time he put his helmet on this weekend. Fogle has added some clear physicality to his game since we saw him at last year's All American Weekend which showed in the showcase portion as he produced a Top Exit Velocity of 100.1mph to go along with an Outfield Arm Velocity of 89mph. Fogle then led his team in hits during the 3 game series as he went 4 for 7 with 4 stolen bases. Fogle is an aggressive & physical player who showcased power. His high motor, solid baseball IQ, & plus bat-to-ball skills makes him a great follow for anyone needing a 2026 OF.ย

2026 Talan Miranda (6'1 160 RHP/1B from Riverview, FL): Miranda was one of the most impressive arms to toe the rubber over the weekend as it is clear he has worked hard since participating in the 2023 Prospect Wire All American Weekend when we saw him last. Miranda has added velocity to his Fastball which now sits upper 80's with the ability to run it up to 89mph. The metrics were off the chart as well as he spun his Fastball up to 2312, Slider at 2358 & killed the spin on his changeup to 1198. In addition to being a metric standout, Miranda lived at the knees & worked very quick which made for 2 Innings of uncomfortable at-bats for the 2026 West team.

2027 Trey Powers (5'10 160 OF/LHP from Berea, OH): Powers showed solid 2 way ability & an added physicality to his game since we saw him at last year's All American Weekend. In the workout portion, he had a Top Exit Velocity of 95.4mph to go along with a 85mph Outfield arm velocity. Powers showed plus plate discipline at the plate drawing 3 walks in his 5 plate appearances. On the mound, Powers really impressed our staff as he sat mid 80s with his Fastball while commanding a Curveball, Changeup, & a Splitter which resulted in 2 Shutout Innings, 0 Hits Allowed and 4 Strikeouts. With improved mechanical adjustments look for Powers to make significant velocity jumps over time.

2027 Zachary Huret (6'2 190 3B/RHP from Sebring, FL): Huret passes the eye test as soon as he puts on the uniform as he is a physical athlete. Huret had some very strong numbers during Friday's showcase as he had a Top Exit Velocity of 100.3mph & an Infield Arm Velocity of 89mph. Huret also got it done at the plate with a number of barrels earning him the 2027 MVP Award.ย

2027 Collin Thomas (5'8 170 MIF/RHP from Atlanta, GA): Thomas is another one of our returning Prospect Wire All Americans who made some really great strides since we saw him at Vandy in 2023. Thomas has added some strength & improved his defensive consistency since we saw him last. Thomas is a high IQ & high motor player that our staff couldn't speak highly enough about. Always looking to run & trying to earn the PW All American Stolen Bases record Thomas was a threat to run every time he got on base.
