2026 PW World Series Player Spotlight


2030 Peter Wadsworth

HMB Clearwater

 

Peter has a lean, athletic frame that projects well as a top-of-the-order bat at the next level. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with a smooth, repeatable load, quick hands, and excellent barrel control, allowing him to consistently produce loud contact. Over the weekend, he collected five hits, drove in two RBIs, and scored three runs while serving as a catalyst for his offense. Peter’s all-around performance helped lead his team to the championship and earned him tournament MVP honors for the 14u division, showcasing his ability to impact the game in big moments. It is this kind of talent that earned him a spot as one of this year's All Americans.



 




2029 JD Makris

HMB Clearwater

 

JD has a strong, athletic frame and showcased his ability to impact the game in multiple ways throughout the weekend. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with a solid base, quick hands, and a mature gap-to-gap approach, collecting two hits and driving in two RBIs. He was even more impressive on the mound, displaying a polished three-pitch mix that kept hitters off balance all game. His fastball sat 77-79 mph and topped out at 80, complemented by a 12-6 curveball at 65-67 mph and a changeup at 69-71 with quality arm-side fade. He showed confidence and command of all three offerings, consistently working ahead in counts and disrupting hitters’ timing. Across five innings, he allowed just two earned runs while striking out six. JD’s outstanding performance on the mound helped lead his team to a championship and earned him tournament MVPitcher for the 14u division. We are excited to see him perform in Knoxville next month as one of our All Americans.



 






2029 Engel Matos

Freshwater Storm 15u National

 

Engel has a lean, athletic frame that projects well as a top-of-the-order bat at the next level. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with a smooth, repeatable load paired with a short, simple swing, quick hands, and excellent barrel control. He was a consistent offensive threat throughout the weekend, collecting six hits, scoring eight runs, driving in one RBI, and posting a 0.429 batting average. He also showcased his speed and instincts on the bases, swiping four stolen bases. Engel’s offensive production and impact on t he basepaths played a key role in leading his team to the 15u championship.



 




2029 Owen Hamilton

Freshwater Storm 15u National

 

Owen has a big, strong frame that projects well and showcased his ability to impact the game on the mound. He features a free-and-easy delivery, works downhill well and has additional velocity to come as he continues to develop physically. He commands the strike zone with a polished three-pitch arsenal consisting of a fastball sitting 77-79 mph, a changeup with quality arm-side fade at 73-75 mph, and a curveball with good depth and vertical break at 67-69 mph. Over his outing, he tossed five innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out four. Owen’s strong performance on the mound played a key role in leading his team to the 15u championship.



 




2028 Jaxon Kraubetz

JR7 Baseball

 

Jaxon has a lean, athletic frame and showcased his ability to impact the game on the mound. He features a quick, whippy arm and uses his lower half well to generate quality velocity. He consistently attacked the strike zone with an impressive two-pitch mix, featuring a fastball with heavy arm-side run that sat 79-82 mph and topped out at 83 mph, along with a sharp slider at 69-70 mph that displayed late, biting break. Over three innings of work, he allowed just one earned run while striking out three. Jaxon’s performance on the mound helped propel his team to the 16u championship game.



 




2028 Kydam Viera

B.A.T 16u

 

Kydam has an athletic frame and showcased his ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with a short, compact swing, good rhythm, and excellent timing, allowing him to consistently square up the baseball. Over the weekend, he collected five hits, scored four runs, drove in four RBIs, and posted an impressive 0.500 batting average. He was even more dominant on the mound, tossing 7.1 innings while allowing just one earned run on three hits and striking out eight hitters. Kydam’s outstanding two-way performance was a major factor in leading his team to the 16u championship game.



 




2026 Jordan Whitlock

Baseline Baseball

 

Jordan has a long, athletic frame that projects as a power pitcher at the next level. He features a quick, whippy arm, works downhill effectively, and uses his lower half well to generate power and velocity. He commands the strike zone with a dominant two-pitch mix consisting of a fastball with late arm-side run that sat 88-90 mph and topped out at 91 mph, along with a wipeout slider featuring sharp late horizontal break at 77-79 mph. The Eastern Florida State College commit was dominant in his outing, tossing six innings while allowing just one hit, no earned runs, and striking out 13 hitters. Jordan’s outstanding performance on the mound helped propel his team on its playoff run.



 




2026 Jesua Encarnacion

Jesua has a strong, athletic frame and runs well, projecting as a top-of-the-order bat at the next level. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with good rhythm and a short, compact swing, paired with advanced bat-to-ball skills and a mature all-fields approach that allows him to consistently square up the baseball. Over the weekend, Jesua collected five hits, scored four runs, drove in two RBIs, and posted a 0.357 batting average. His consistent offensive production and ability to set the tone at the top of the lineup played a key role in leading his team to the 17/18u Championship Game.
