2026 NextGen Spring Championships Preview

Prospect Wire continues its spring campaign this weekend with the NextGen Spring Championships, held in its Central Florida home of Polk County. This premier event will feature a competitive field of 50 teams across the 13u and 14u divisions. Year after year, this tournament stands out as one of the largest and most talent-rich events of the spring season, and this year’s field looks poised to carry on that tradition. With high-level competition and plenty of emerging talent on display, here are a few teams and organizations to keep an eye on throughout the weekend as the race towards Championship Sunday unfolds.

Kangaroo Court (Palm Harbor and Bradenton, FL): Kangaroo Court has built a strong national reputation, with multiple affiliates across Florida consistently producing elite-level talent that can compete with anyone. Their teams are known for being disciplined, fundamentally sound, and always a serious threat to win any event they enter. This weekend, the organization will be well represented with three teams in action. The Palm Harbor affiliate will send out both a 13u and 14u squad, while the Bradenton group will field a 13u team of their own. Each roster is loaded with playmakers and depth, giving Kangaroo Court a strong presence across both age groups. All three are well-positioned to make deep runs into Championship Sunday.

Gatorball (Gainesville, FL): Gatorball is a well-known name on the Florida travel circuit, earning its reputation through strong player development and consistently fielding tough, gritty teams that compete from first pitch to last. Their style of play is built on fundamentals, effort, and competitive edge that makes them a difficult matchup for any opponent. This weekend, Gatorball will be sending out two squads – one in the 13u division and another in the 14u division – each bringing a balanced mix of talent and toughness. Expect both teams to make some serious noise as the weekend progresses, with both squads having a strong chance to push deep into the playoffs.

Divinity Academy Kingz (Kissimmee, FL): The Divinity Academy Kingz have become a respected name on the Florida travel ball circuit, building their reputation on disciplined, fundamentally sound, and highly talented teams. Their ability to compete at a high level against strong fields has made them a consistent contender in top events. This weekend, the Kingz will be competing in the 14u division, where they’ve already put together several impressive showings in Prospect Wire events throughout the spring. With a combination of experience and depth the Kingz look poised to continue their success and make a deep run into Sunday.

Ballers Taveras (Mulberry, FL): Ballers Taveras have become a familiar and respected presence at Prospect Wire events, building their name on high-end talent and fundamentally sound teams. They consistently bring a balanced approach to the field, combining strong individual skill with disciplined team play. This weekend, the Ballers will be competing in a loaded 14u division, where the level of competition will be as tough as it gets. Expect the Ballers Taveras to be right in the mix as the weekend unfolds, with a strong chance to make a deep playoff run and push into Championship Sunday.

Arsenal National (Orlando, FL): Arsenal is a well-known youth travel organization in the Orlando area, earning its reputation through strong coaching, fundamentally sound play, and consistently high-end talent across its rosters. Their teams are known for playing the game the right way and competing at a high level. This weekend, Arsenal will be competing in the 14u division, where they’ll look to showcase their depth and discipline against a strong field. As the bracket tightens, expect Arsenal to be a factor deep into the playoffs, with a strong chance to make a run toward a Championship.

Team Orlando (Clermont, FL): Team Orlando is a respected youth organization on the Florida travel circuit, known for its strong player development and commitment to playing the game the right way. This weekend, Team Orlando will have two squads competing in the 13u division. Both teams bring a combination of depth, composure, and talent that should translate well in a competitive field.
