2026 National Championships Preview
Prospect Wire is wrapping up its summer circuit with The National Championships in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. Year after year, The National Championships attract some of the top talent from across the nation, and this year’s event is shaping up to be no different. A total of 74 teams will compete across the 13u through 18u divisions, with clubs traveling in from Florida, Tennessee, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, and Ohio. With a field this deep and talented, The National Championships is a must-watch event on the national travel ball circuit. Championship-caliber teams, high-end prospects, and exciting matchups will be on display throughout the week as players look to end their summer on a high note. Here are a few teams to keep an eye on as the action gets underway.
Blues Elite (Cottontown, TN): The Blues Elite program is one of the premier organizations on the national travel baseball circuit, earning a reputation for elite player development, talented and well-coached teams, and a proven winning tradition. That success was on full display at the 2025 Prospect Wire National Championships, where the organization captured the 17u title while also finishing as runner-up in both the 14u and 15u divisions. This summer, Blues Elite return with teams in the 15u and 16u divisions, and both squads have the talent and depth to continue the program’s championship standard. Expect them to be among the top contenders throughout the week as they look to bring more hardware back to Tennessee.
NLB (Tallahassee, FL): NLB is a nationally recognized travel baseball organization and one of the most successful programs in Prospect Wire history. They have built their reputation on fielding elite, talented teams that are fundamentally sound, well coached, and committed to playing the game the right way. That winning culture was on full display at the 2025 Prospect Wire National Championships, where NLB captured the 15u championship and finished as runner-up in the 18u division. This year, NLB returns with five teams competing across the 14u, 15u, 16u, and 18u divisions including two squads in the 18u bracket. With talent, depth, and experience throughout the organization, all five teams have the potential to make deep championship runs. Expect NLB to once again be among the top contenders as they look to add even more hardware to an already impressive trophy case.
FL Stars 13u (Melbourne, FL): The FL Stars are a well-known organization on the Florida travel baseball circuit, earning a strong reputation for player development and consistently preparing athletes to compete at the next level. Their success was evident at the 2025 Prospect Wire National Championships, where the program captured the 13u title. This year, they’re sending out a 13u squad with their eyes set on defending its championship. With a talented roster, strong coaching, and championship experience, the FL Stars will once again be one of the teams to watch as they look to repeat as National Champions.
Florida Burn (Sarasota, FL): Florida Burn is a well-known travel baseball organization on the national travel ball circuit. They have built a reputation for fielding highly talented teams that can compete on any stage and are consistently among the favorites to win every event they enter. Their combination of athleticism, depth, and strong coaching makes them one of the premier programs in the region. This weekend, the Florida Burn will send two talented squads to compete in the 14u division at The National Championships. Both teams have the depth, talent, and experience to make deep playoff runs and will be strong contenders as they pursue a 14u National Championship.
Legends (Bartow, FL): The Legends are a nationally recognized travel baseball organization and a regular participant in Prospect Wire events. They have built a strong reputation for elite player development and consistently preparing athletes to compete at the next level. This weekend, they’ll send three teams to compete in The National Championships, with squads in the 15u, 16u, and 17/18u divisions. Each roster features the depth, talent, and experience to compete against some of the top programs in the country. Known for playing fundamentally sound baseball and rising to the occasion in big-game environments, the Legends will look to cap off a successful summer with deep playoff runs across all three divisions. With a proven track record of developing high-level talent and competing on the national stage, expect the legends to be a strong contender throughout championship weekend.
NLB North Carolina (North Carolina): NLB North Carolina is a well-known travel baseball organization on the national travel ball circuit and one of the premier programs in the state. They have built their reputation on elite player development and consistently fielding tough, gritty teams that are a difficult matchup for any opponent. This weekend, they’ll send five teams to compete in The National Championships, with one squad in the 13u division, one in the 15u division, one in the 16u division, and two in the 17/18u division. All five squads have the talent, depth, and competitive mindset to make deep playoff runs. Expect NLB North Carolina to play with the intensity and toughness that have become trademarks of the organization as they look to bring multiple championships back homme to North Carolina and cap off their summer on a high note.
Top Tier Roos (Palm Harbor, FL): The Top Tier Roos are a nationally recognized travel baseball organization and one of the most successful programs in Prospect Wire history. They have built their reputation on fielding highly talented teams that are fundamentally sound, well-coached, and consistently play the game the right way. This weekend, they’ll send four teams to compete in The National Championships, with one squad in the 14u division and three squads in the 16u division. All four teams possess the depth, talent, and experience to compete for championships on the national stage. With a winning tradition and a roster full of impact players, the Roos will look to cap off their summer circuit by making deep playoff runs and adding to their already impressive legacy at Prospect Wire events.
We’d also like to extend a warm welcome to our out-of-state organizations making the trip to compete at The National Championships. The Blueprint program from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be represented by its 13u and 14u teams, while Tennessee Grind North out of Clarksville, Tennessee, brings a talented 14u squad. USA Scout Elite from Emerson, Georgia, will compete with teams in the 15u and 16u divisions, and OFP Tennessee from Columbia, Tennessee, will send its 16u team to Sarasota. Rounding out the field is the Troy Bombers from Troy, Ohio, who will also compete in the 16u division.
