2026 Labor Day Classic East Preview


 

Prospect Wire kicks off its East Coast fall campaign this Labor Day weekend in Bradenton, Florida, with the Labor Day Classic East at IMG Academy. The inaugural event will feature nearly 40 teams from across the state competing in the 13U, 14U, 15/16U, and 17/18U divisions. With a talented field headed to one of the premier baseball facilities in the country, each division is loaded with teams capable of making an early statement this fall. The weekend will also provide plenty of opportunities for players to make an impression on the Prospect Wire scouting staff as they begin identifying players for the 2027 All-American games. Here are a few teams to keep an eye on as action gets underway in Bradenton.


 

Bay Area Show (Bradenton, FL): Bay Area is a well-known travel ball organization on the national circuit, building its reputation on high-level players, elite player development, and quality coaching. This weekend, they’ll send two squads to complete in the Labor Day Classic East, with one team in the 15/16U division and another in the 17/18U division. Both teams come into the weekend with the talent, depth, and experience to make a deep playoff run and get their fall campaign started with a bang.


 

USA Elite Scout Team (St. Cloud, FL): USA Elite Scout Team has established itself as one of the well-known organizations on the Florida travel ball circuit, earning its reputation through elite player development, strong coaching, and a commitment to playing the game the right way. This weekend, they’ll bring two talented squads to the Labor Day Classic, with both teams competing in the 15/16U division. With plenty of talent throughout both rosters, each squad has the depth, athleticism, and poise to make a deep playoff run. Don’t be surprised to see USA Elite Scout Team making plenty of noise as they look to finish the weekend competing for a Championship on Sunday.


 

Ostingers Baseball (Lithia, FL): Ostingers Baseball has built a strong reputation on the Florida travel ball circuit through quality player development, competitive teams, and a commitment to helping players take their game to the next level. This weekend, they’ll bring two talented squads to the Labor Day Classic, with both teams competing in the 14U division. With talent throughout both rosters and the depth to compete with some of the best teams in the field, Ostingers Baseball will look to make an early statement this fall. Both squads have what it takes to make a deep playoff run and put themselves in position to compete for a championship on Sunday.


 

Wily Mo & Veras Dragons (Zephyrhills, FL): Wily Mo & Veras Dragons are ready to make their presence felt at the Labor Day Classic, bringing two talented squads to the event with one team competing in the 13U division and another in the 14U division. The organization has continued to develop competitive players while building teams that play with energy, toughness, and confidence. With talent and depth throughout both rosters, the Dragons have the pieces to make a deep playoff push in both age groups.
