2026 Central Florida Spring Challenge Player Spotlight



2030 Moises Rivera RHP/OF

Moises has a lean, athletic frame and showed throughout the weekend that he can impact the game in multiple ways. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with good rhythm and timing, allowing him to consistently make solid contact. He tallied 4 this and drove in 6 runs, finishing with an impressive 0.500 batting average. On the mound, Moises worked with a two-pitch mix, featuring a fastball sitting 74-76 mph and a curveball at 63-65 mph. He logged 6.2 innings, allowing just 1 earned run while striking out 6 hitters. His strong performance on the mound earned him MVPitcher honors and helped propel his team to a championship finish.












2030 Tayvyn Shugarts RHP/OF

Tayvyn has a lean, athletic frame that projects well both on the mound and in the outfield. Offensively, he features a balanced setup with a smooth, repeatable load, good barrel control, and a mature gap-to-gap approach that allows for consistent contact. Over the weekend, he tallied 3 hits and drove in 4 runs, posting a 0.375 batting average. He was even more impressive on the mound, showcasing a smooth, repeatable delivery while working downhill effectively. He commands the zone with a fastball sitting 77-79 mph and topping out at 80, paired with a 12-6 curveball at 66-68 mph. In 5 innings of work, he struck out 4 hitters. Tayvyn’s all-around performance helped lead his team on a playoff run and earned him a spot on the Prospect Wire All-American watchlist.

Brayden has a big, strong frame that projects well to the next level. At the plate, he features a balanced setup with a calm, smooth load. He stays in his legs well, utilizing good hip rotation and quick hands to generate power in his swing. Over the weekend, Brayden tallied 4 hits, scored 3 runs, and drove in 3 while posting an impressive 0.444 batting average. His offensive production played a key role in helping lead his team on their deep playoff run.



 




2030 Sebastian Ledezma RHP

Sebastian has a strong, athletic frame that projects well on the mound. He features a quick, whippy delivery and stays in his legs effectively, showing signs of more velocity to come as he develops. He works with a two-pitch arsenal, featuring a fastball sitting 74-78 mph and topping out at 80 with late arm-side run, paired with a curveball at 59-60 mph that kept hitters off balance throughout the game. In his 5 innings of work, he allowed just 2 runs while striking out 7. Sebastian’s performance on the mound earned his team the win and secured him a spot on the Prospect Wire All-American watchlist.
