2027 Jake Churchman RHP

Jake is a quick twitchy athlete with a quick arm and explosive lower half. Has the potential to be a power arm with his fastball sitting 82-85 and topping 86 with late arm side run. He showed good command of both his slider and changeup. His changeup has late arm side fade sitting 74-75 with good deception and is extremely effective against left handed hitters. He compliments his changeup with a tight slider sitting 72-74, he used his slider as his put away pitch getting a lot of swing and misses. In his outing at the Southeast Championships he pitched 6 innings allowing 0 runs and had 7 strikeouts.

Kamai has a tall athletic build that projects well to the next level. Defensively he is a smooth sure handed shortstop with good range with a quick release and clean transfers. Offensively, he has a smooth repeatable load and good balance at the plate. He stays in his legs well, short compact swing with good bat to ball skills. Displayed the ability to hit to all fields posting a 0.429 batting average on the weekend and earning Tournament MVP honors for the 16u division.

2027 Gabriel Ortiz RHP

Grabriel has a strong projectable frame with a great mix of pitches and commands all quadrants of the zone. His fastball sits 83-86 with late two seam action, he stays in his legs well and has more velocity in the tank. He has great feel for his slider and curveball throwing them early and often. His slider is a wipeout pitch sitting 75-76 with plus horizontal movement, his curveball sits 69-72 with good 12-6 action and plays well off his slider.

Jorge has a long projectable frame with a free and easy motion and a composed presence on the mound. Works downhill and hides the ball well creating a lot of weak contact. He commands both sides of the play with his fastball, fastball has easy velocity sitting 84-86 topping 87. He compliments his fastball with a slider sitting 73-74 with good depth and late horizontal break. During the Southeast Championships in West Palm Beach, he posted 8 strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched.

Fabian is a strong physical presence in the box. Fabian is a switch hitter who found a lot of success from both sides of the plate batting 0.541 on the weekend with 3 RBI’s. He showed good plate discipline and the ability to hit to all fields. He has a smooth consistent load, quick hands, and good barrel accuracy from both sides of the plate making him a constant threat in the box.
