Prospect Wire kicks off its Florida fall campaign with the Palm Beach Classic, set in beautiful Palm Beach, Florida. This premier event will showcase 48 teams from across the state, spanning age groups 13u through 18u. With so much talent on display, fans can expect plenty of competitive matchups and breakout performances. Here are a few programs to keep an eye on as strong contenders to make deep playoff runs:
Elev8 Academy (Delray Beach, FL): Elev8 Academy has built a strong reputation across the baseball community for fielding highly talented teams and developing players through its elite coaching staff. This fall, Elev8 is bringing three teams to the Palm Beach Classic – one in the 13u division, one in the 14u division, and one in the 17u/18u division. In 2024, Elev8 Academy captured championships in both the 14u and 15u divisions, and this year’s squads will look to build on that success as they chase more hardware in 2025.
Freshwater Storm (New Smyrna Beach, FL): Freshwater Storm is a longtime Prospect Wire staple, known for fielding talented, gritty, and fundamentally sound teams that consistently make deep playoff pushes. This weekend, they’ll be bringing two squads in the 15u/16u division, both aiming to carry on the program’s winning tradition and make some noise in the bracket. With 7 overall PW Championships, can Freshwater Strom add to their mantle?
IS Elite (Wellington, FL): IS Elite has built a strong reputation across South Florida for its focus on player development and creating opportunities at the next level. The program consistently fields highly talented rosters, and this weekend they’re bringing four teams to the Palm Beach Classic – two in the 15u/16u division and two in the 17u/18u division. All four squads will be looking to showcase their abilities and make a deep run into Sunday’s playoff rounds. They claimed their first 2 PW Championships to kick off the 2025 Summer season. Can they repeat the season kick-off magic in Palm Beach once again?
Scorpions West (Avon Park/Sebring, FL): Scorpions West has a long-standing reputation for developing high-level talent and preparing players to succeed at the next level. Whenever a Scorpions team enters a tournament, they’re considered a serious contender for a championship – and this weekend is no exception. The program will bring two teams to the Palm Beach Classic – one in the 15u/16u division and one in the 17u/18u division. Both squads will look to carry on the Scorpions’ winning tradition and make a strong playoff push on Sunday.
Vipers Baseball Club (Palm Beach Gardens, FL): Vipers Baseball Club has become a regular presence at Prospect Wire events, consistently bringing fundamentally sound, tough, gritty teams to every tournament. For the Palm Beach Classic, the Vipers are sending five teams – one in the 13u division, one in the 15u/16u division, and three in the 17u/18u division. In 2024, the Viper’s 16u team captured the Palm Beach Classic Championship, and this year’s squads will look to continue that tradition with another deep playoff run. A top 5 program in PW history with 11 overall championships, do the Vipers have what it takes to claim number 12?
