2025 Father’s Day Classic - Tournament Preview

Father’s Day Classic

For our third tournament in Florida this summer we head back to the east coast to Port St. Lucie for the Father’s Day Classic. This year we have 51 teams from all over Florida and 2 teams from Puerto Rico. Each year this event produces Prospect Wire All-Americans and great games. A couple of teams to keep an eye on this weekend are:

CBU Hawks (Indialantic, FL)-CBU is a well known and respected travel ball organization that focuses on development and attracts top level talent. This CBU Hawks team is a 13u team playing up in the 14u division and looking to shock some teams and make a deep playoff run.

IBAHS (San Juan, PR)-The International Baseball Academy based in Puerto Rico is known as one of the top baseball academies and is always loaded with top level talent. They are bringing two teams this weekend one in the 16u division and one in the 18u division. Both teams are playing in their first Prospect Wire event this summer and are looking to make a big impression. They are a 2 time Father’s Day Classic champion and looking to win their first since 2022.

South FL Bandits 18u (Orlando, FL)- Any time the South FL Bandits enter an event they are a threat to win the whole thing. The South FL Bandits have been on a tear this summer winning the Memorial Day 18u Championship and the Southeast Championship in the 18u division. They are an extremely talented and well coached group that is looking to continue their dominance this weekend. They will be seeking their 3rd consecutive PW event championship, something no team has ever managed to do.

Top Tier East Coast (Port St. Lucie, FL)-Top Tier East Coast is bringing 3 teams this weekend one in the 15u division, one in the 16u division, and one in the 17/18u division. Top Tier is a well-respected organization known for being a well-coached and talented group that always has a chance to bring home some hardware. Top Tier East Coast 18u looks to defend their 2024 16u Championship this weekend.

Primal 9 (Palm Beach, FL) - Primal 9 has been attending PW East Coast events for many years now. A competitive program, they are set to bring 3 teams to this year’s Father’s Day Classic. Always competitive, they will be seeking their 1st Father’s Day Classic Championship.

South Florida Bullsharks (North Lauderdale, FL) - The Bullsharks are another solid program from South Florida, and are set to bring 4 teams between 14U & 18U to this weekend’s event in Treasure Coast, FL. While making a few runs over the years, the Bullsharks will also be seeking their 1st PW Father’s Day championship.

IS Elite Baseball (Palm Beach, FL) - After claiming their 1st PW championship at the this year’s Southeast Championships, IS Elite is back for the FDC and they are bringing 5 teams to this weekend’s event. Do they have what it takes to make another strong run and take home another Underclass title?
